Ketotifen (Fumarate) is available in the oral as well as ophthalmic dosage forms. The oral forms of this medicine are used for the treatment of allergic rhinitis; they may also be used for the prevention of asthma attacks. The ophthalmic forms of this medicine are used for the treatment of allergic conjunctivitis. The oral form of this medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 6 months of age. The ophthalmic form of this medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 3 years of age.
