Rivaroxaban is an anticoagulant that is used to treat and prevent blood clots in conditions such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), and atrial fibrillation (AFib). Close monitoring of liver and kidney function is recommended during treatment with this medicine. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients below 18 years of age.
