Simethicone is an anti-flatulent medicine used to reduce excessive gas in the stomach and relieve the symptoms of stomach discomfort, abdominal pain, and flatulence. It may also be used prior to an endoscopic or radiologic examination to eliminate gas from the stomach and enhance visualization. This medicine should be used with caution in patients below 18 years of age since there is limited information on it use in children.
