Spiramycin is a macrolide antibiotic which is used to treat bacterial and parasitic infections of the respiratory tract, mouth, skin, and soft tissues. It is used to treat toxoplasmosis infection in pregnant women under specific circumstances which are clinically determined. It may also be used to treat gonorrhea in patients who are allergic to penicillin.
