How to use Aika Injection 25 mg 5 Ampx1 mL

IM: Administer IM injection in large mass. Do not mix with other drugs, administer separately. IV: The quantity of infusion solution should be sufficient to infuse amikacin over 1 to 2 hours in infants and 30-60 min children and adults; at a final concentration not to exceed 5 mg amikacin/ mL.
Compatibility: Stable for 24 hours at room temperature and 2 days at refrigeration when mixed in D5W, D5¼ NS, D5½ NS, NS, LR.
Y-site administration:
Drug to Drug IV Compatibility: Acyclovir, amiodarone, aztreonam, bumetanide, calcium gluconate, cephazolin, cefepime, ceftriaxone, ciprofloxacin, cisatracurium, dexamethasone, diltiazem, diphenhydramine, dobutamine, dopamine, enalapril, epinephrine, esmolol, famotidine, fentanyl, fluconazole, furosemide, gentamicin, hydrocortisone, hydromorphone, imipenem, labetalol, lansoprazole, levofloxacin, linezolid, lorazepam, methylprednisolone, metoclopramide, metronidazole, midazolam, milrinone, morphine, nitroglycerin, nitroprusside, norepinephrine, ondansetron, phenylephrine, piperacillin/tazobactam, ranitidine, tobramycin, vancomycin, vasopressin.
Drug to Drug IV Incompatibility: Allopurinol, amphotericin B cholesteryl sulphate complex, azithromycin, cimetidine, heparin, hetastarch, propofol.
In syringe: Incompatible with heparin.

What happens if I miss a dose of Aika Injection 25 mg 5 Ampx1 mL?

Adults: 15 mg/kg IM or IV daily in two divided doses for up to 10 days; total max 15 gm. Children: Neonates, initially 10 mg/kg then 15 mg/kg daily in two divided doses; others same as adult.
Bone & Joint Infections: IM/IV: Adults, Children & Older Infants: 7.5 mg/kg every 12 hr or 5 mg/kg IM/IV every 8 hr. Max: 1.5 gm/day. Newborns: Loading Dose: 10 mg/kg. Maintenance: 7.5 mg/kg every 12 hr.
Lower Respiratory Tract Infections: IV: Adults, Children & Older Infants: 7.5 mg/kg every 12 hr or 5 mg/kg IM/IV every 8 hr. Max: 1.5 gm/day. Newborns: Loading Dose: 10 mg/kg. Maintenance: 7.5 mg/kg every 12 hr.
Meningitis: IV: Adults, Children & Older Infants: 7.5 mg/kg every 12 hr or 5 mg/kg IM/IV every 8 hr. Max: 1.5 gm/day. Newborns: Loading Dose: 10 mg/kg. Maintenance: 7.5 mg/kg every 12 hr.
