• Safe with Alchohol?

  Consumption of alcohol is not recommended during treatment with this medicine due to the increased risk of side effects such as seizures, dizziness, mood and behavioral changes, and fainting. It is advised that you do not perform any activities that require high mental alertness such as driving a vehicle or operating machinery if you consume alcohol during treatment with this medicine.

• Is it habit forming?

  No habit-forming tendencies were reported.

• Usage in pregnancy?

  This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless necessary. The risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before taking this medicine.

• Usage while breast-feeding?

  This medicine is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before using this medicine. Your doctor may advise you to discontinue the drug or to discontinue breastfeeding based on your clinical condition

• Allergy

  This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to bupropion or any other inactive ingredients present along with it.

• Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI)

  This medicine is not recommended for use in patients taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI) due to the increased risk of serious and life-threatening side effects. A time gap of at least 14 days should be maintained between the administration of these medicines.

• Anorexia nervosa and Bulimia

  This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a current or history of eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa or bulimia due to the risk of worsening of the patient's condition.

• Pregnancy

  This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless necessary. The risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before taking this medicine.

• Breast-feeding

  This medicine is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before using this medicine. Your doctor may advise you to discontinue the drug or to discontinue breastfeeding based on your clinical condition

• Liver impairment

  This medicine should be used with caution in patients with an impaired liver function due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects. Close monitoring of liver function, appropriate dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition of the patient.

• Kidney impairment

  This medicine should be used with caution in patients with an impaired kidney function due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects. Close monitoring of kidney function, appropriate dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition of the patient.

• Weight Loss

  Usage of this medicine may increase the risk of weight loss which may be undesirable in patients suffering from anorexia, malnutrition, excessive weight loss, etc. Regular monitoring of weight change is necessary while receiving this medicine.

• Driving or Operating machinery

  Use of this medicine may cause dizziness, weakness, etc. in some patients. It is advised that you do not perform any activities such as driving a vehicle or operating machinery if you experience any of these symptoms during treatment with this medicine.

• Use in children

  This medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 18 years of age since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.

• Suicidal tendencies

  This medicine should be used with caution due to the increased risk of suicidal tendencies. This risk is especially higher in young patients. Patients should be closely monitored for any change in mood or behavior. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary based on the clinical condition.

• Hypertension

  This medicine may increase the blood pressure levels and therefore should be used with caution in patients with hypertension (high blood pressure) due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition. Close monitoring of blood pressure levels, appropriate dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition of the patient.

• Seizure disorder

  This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients with seizure disorder or conditions that may increase the risk of seizures such as severe head injury, CNS tumor, CNS infection, severe stroke, etc. due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition. Replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary based on the clinical condition.
