How it works
Since Aromasin tablet 25 mg 15’s decreases the amount of estrogen in the body, it slows down or stops the growth of certain specific cancer cells which need estrogen to grow.

Breast cancer
This medicine is used in the treatment of early stage breast cancer in postmenopausal women and in women who have been treated with tamoxifen for 2 to 3 years without much clinical response.

Reduction in bone mineral density (BMD)
This medicine may decrease bone mineral density (BMD). The bone mineral density should be assessed prior to initiating the treatment. Routine monitoring of BMD, appropriate corrective measures, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.

Vitamin D deficiency
Aromasin tablet 25 mg 15’s may cause vitamin D deficiency. The level of 25-hydroxy vitamin D should be assessed prior to initiating the treatment. Routine monitoring of vitamin D levels, appropriate corrective measures, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.

Co-administration with estrogen containing products
This medicine is not recommended for use along with estrogen containing products since these products may alter the effects of the medicine and vice versa.

Use in premenopausal women
This medicine is not indicated for use in premenopausal women.

Sports
Use of this medicine during sports events is prohibited by World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

Missed Dose

what are the adverse effects of Aromasin tablet 25 mg 15’s?
Hot flushes, nausea, arthralgia, fatigue, somnolence, carpal tunnel syndrome, sweating, dizziness, headache, depression, alopecia, leg and peripheral oedema, constipation, dyspepsia. Increased alkaline phosphate and bilirubin. Rarely blood dyscrasias.
What happens if I miss a dose of Aromasin tablet 25 mg 15’s?
Adults: 1 tab daily after a meal. In early breast cancer, continue treatment until completion of 5 yr combined sequential adjuvant therapy with tamoxifen, or earlier if tumour relapses. In advanced breast cancer continue treatment until tumour progression is evident. Children: Not recommended.
