Avsar Plus tablet 5/160/12.5 mg 28’s is used in the treatment of congestive heart failure to prevent the narrowing of blood vessels and to allow the blood to flow smoothly.

Avsar Plus tablet 5/160/12.5 mg 28’s is used in the treatment of hypertension to decrease the blood pressure.

Myocardial infarction
Avsar Plus tablet 5/160/12.5 mg 28’s is used in the treatment of myocardial infarction (heart attack) to reduce the risk of further cardiovascular events and death.

Aliskiren
Coadministration of Aliskiren and Avsar Plus tablet 5/160/12.5 mg 28’s is not recommended in the elderly population with diabetes and kidney disease, with CrCl less than 60 ml/min. These patients are at a high risk of serious adverse effects if these medicines are used together.

Hypotension
Symptomatic hypotension may occur in patients with volume depletion or patients who are treated with high doses of diuretics. It is advised to correct the condition before starting Avsar Plus tablet 5/160/12.5 mg 28’s or to start the treatment at reduced doses.

Hyperkalemia
Avsar Plus tablet 5/160/12.5 mg 28’s may cause hyperkalemia, a condition with an increase in the potassium levels in the blood. Close monitoring of potassium levels and kidney functions is recommended. This medicine should be used with caution in patients with frequent use of potassium-sparing diuretics or potassium supplements and in patients with impaired kidney function. Any unusual symptoms should be reported to the doctor on priority.

Avsar Plus tablet 5/160/12.5 mg 28’s is not recommended for use in patients with severe liver failure.

Missed Dose
If a dose of Avsar Plus tablet 5/160/12.5 mg 28’s is missed, take the dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost the time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next dose. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one.
