Blevo tablet 400 mg 5’s is used in the treatment of urinary tract infection caused by E. coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterococci, and Klebsiella pneumoniae. `

Ear Infection (Otitis Media)
Blevo tablet 400 mg 5’s is used in the treatment of otitis media caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, E. coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Klebsiella pneumoniae.

Tonsilitis/Pharyngitis
Blevo tablet 400 mg 5’s is used in the treatment of Tonsillitis/Pharyngitis caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, and some fungal infections.

Bronchitis
Blevo tablet 400 mg 5’s is used in the treatment of bronchitis caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, and some Mycoplasma pneumoniae.

Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use if you have a known allergy to Blevo tablet 400 mg 5’s or any other Beta lactam antibiotics.

It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the drug.

This medicine is not recommended for use if you have a known allergy to Blevo tablet 400 mg 5’s or Beta-lactam Antibiotics. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any allergic symptoms like rash, itching, nausea or vomiting, swelling of lips, hands, and feet.

Clostridium difficile-associated Diarrhea
Discontinue the use of this medicine as per the doctor's instructions if severe diarrhea occurs after receiving Blevo tablet 400 mg 5’s . This medicine may cause an imbalance in the microbial flora of the large intestine, decreasing the gut-friendly bacteria and promoting the growth of a bacteria called Clostridium difficile, resulting in severe diarrhea.

Bleeding disorders
This medicine should be used with caution in patients with bleeding disorders due to the increased risk of excessive bleeding. Regular monitoring of prothrombin time is necessary in such cases. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.

Kidney disease
This medicine should be used with caution in patients with an impaired kidney function due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects. Appropriate dose adjustments are to be made based on the CrCl or eGFR.

Use in pediatrics
This medicine is not recommended for use in children less than 6 months of age since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established in this particular age group.

GI disturbances. Headaches, dizziness. Rashes. Very rarely pseudomembranous colitis, haemolytic anaemia, encephalopathy.
What happens if I miss a dose of Blevo tablet 400 mg 5’s?
Adults: 200-400 mg in two divided doses. Children: 6-12 mg/kg/day in two divided doses.
Lower Respiratory Infection: Adults & Children: gt;12 yr or gt;50 kg: 400 mg once daily or 200 mg every 12 hr. lt;50 kg or gt;6 mth: 8 mg/kg once daily or 4 mg/kg every 12 hr.
Otitis Media: Adults & Children: gt;12 yr or gt;50 kg: 400 mg once daily or 200 mg every 12 hr. lt;50 kg or gt;6 mth: 8 mg/kg once daily or 4 mg/kg every 12 hr.
Upper Respiratory Infection: Adults & Children: gt;12 yr or gt;50 kg: 400 mg once daily or 200 mg every 12 hr. lt;50 kg or gt;6 mth: 8 mg/kg once daily or 4 mg/kg every 12 hr.
Urinary Tract Infection: Adults & Children: gt;12 yr or gt;50 kg: 400 mg once daily or 200 mg every 12 hr. lt;50 kg or gt;6 mth: 8 mg/kg once daily or 4 mg/kg every 12 hr.
