Uses of CASTER 150mg Tablet 20s

What is it prescribed for?

• Acute pharyngitis

  CASTER 150mg Tablet 20s is used to prevent and treat bacterial infections of the throat and airways. Common symptoms may include a sore throat and difficulty in swallowing.

• Tonsilitis

  CASTER 150mg Tablet 20sis used to prevent and treat bacterial infection of the tonsils.

• Sinusitis

  CASTER 150mg Tablet 20s is used to prevent and treat bacterial infections of the sinuses present behind the nose.

• Acute bronchitis

  Acute bronchitis CASTER 150mg Tablet 20s is used to prevent and treat bacterial infection of the airways leading to the lung. It is also used to treat chronic bacterial infections especially when the symptoms get worse.

• Pneumonia

  CASTER 150mg Tablet 20s is used to treat bacterial infections of the lungs. Symptoms of this condition may include high fever, tiredness, headache etc.

• Skin and Soft tissue infections

  CASTER 150mg Tablet 20s is used for the treatment of bacterial infections of the skin and soft tissue beneath the skin. Symptoms may include red and painful hair base, fever and chills etc.

• Infections of urinary tract

  CASTER 150mg Tablet 20s is used for the treatment of infection of the urinary tract given that it is not caused by Gonococcal strain of the bacteria.

• Impetigo

  CASTER 150mg Tablet 20s is also used to treat bacterial infection of the skin characterized by red and painful sores on the skin around nose and mouth.

When not to use?

• Diarrhea

  Use of this medicine can cause mild to moderate diarrhea. However, if the condition severe then you should report it to the doctor. Consult you doctor before taking any medication for diarrhea.

• Oral thrush

  Use of this medicine can cause mouth sores that may appear while usage or soon after discontinuing the use. Contact your doctor if have sores in mouth or swelling of lips or tongue.

• Vaginal thrush

  Use of this medicine can cause itching and burning sensations in the vagina and may cause an abnormal discharge as well. Contact your doctor if such symptoms are experienced while using this medicine.

• Surgery

  Report the use of this medicine to the doctor if you are planning to undergo a surgery which will require the administration of general anesthesia.

• Liver disease

  This medicine should be used with caution if you have an active Liver disease or impaired liver function. Close monitoring and suitable dose adjustment are advised.

• Myasthenia gravis

  This medicine should not be used or used with modified dosage if you have this disorder which causes muscle fatigue.

• Super resistance

  Contact your doctor if symptoms of infection do not improve even after this medicine is consumed for 3-4 days. Prolonged usage of this medicine without getting the desired effect may prove harmful and treating subsequent infections may become difficult.

• Drug resistance

  It is recommended to complete the dosage of antibiotics even when the symptoms have improved. The bacteria might become drug-resistant on incomplete dosing and may make treatment of subsequent infections difficult.

This medicine should be used with caution in patients having heart rhythm disorders. Suitable dose adjustment and safety monitoring is advised in such cases.
