How to use Cephradine capsule 500 mg 2×10’s

IM: Reconstitute with sterile water for injection 2 mL in 500 mg and 4 mL in 1 gm vial. The preparation is single use only.
IV infusion: Reconstitute with sterile water for injection 5 mL in 500 mg vial shake to make solution. Transfer the entire contents to the IV infusion diluent. Protect from light.
Compatibility: Dextrose 5% or 10 %, NaCl 0.9%.
Stability: 2 hours at room temperature and 12 hours when stored in refrigerator.

What happens if I miss a dose of Cephradine capsule 500 mg 2×10’s?

ORAL: Adults: 1-2 gm daily in 2 or 4 divided doses; max 4 gm daily. Children: 25-50 mg/kg daily in 2 or 4 divided doses. Continue in all cases for 48-72 hr after patient is asymptomatic.
Lower Respiratory Infection: Pneumonia: Adults: 500 mg every 6 hr or 1 gm every 12 hr. Children: gt; 9 mth: 25-50 mg/kg/day given every 6 hr or every 12 hr (up to adult dose).
Otitis Media: Children: gt; 9 mth: 75-100 mg/kg/day given every 6 hr or every 12 hr. Max: 4 gm/day.
Upper Respiratory Infection: Tonsillitis/Pharyngitis: Adults: 250 mg every 6 hr or 500 mg every 12 hr. Children: gt; 9 mth: 25-50 mg/kg/day given every 6 hr or every 12 hr (up to adult dose).
Skin Infection: Adults: 250 mg every 6 hr or 500 mg every 12 hr. Children: gt; 9 mth: 25-50 mg/kg/day given every 6 hr or every 12 hr (up to adult dose).
Urinary Tract Infection: Adults: Uncomplicated: 500 mg every 12 hr. Serious (Prostatitis): 500 mg every 6 hr or 1 gm every 12 hr. Children: gt; 9 mth: 25-50 mg/kg/day given every 6 hr or every 12 hr (up to adult dose).
INJECTION: Adults: 2-4 gm IM or IV infusion daily in divided doses. Children: 50-100 mg/kg daily in divided doses.
