How It Works
Cimzia (Certolizumab pegol) is a medication used to treat autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, Crohn’s disease, and plaque psoriasis. It works by targeting and neutralizing tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), a pro-inflammatory cytokine that plays a key role in the pathogenesis of these diseases.
