What is it prescribed for?

• Lower Respiratory Tract Infection

  This medicine is used in the treatment of lower respiratory tract infection like bronchitis, pneumonia caused by Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pneumoniae.

• Skin and Structure Infection

  This medicine is used to treat skin and structure infections caused by Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes.

• Intraabdominal Infection

  This medicine is used in the treatment of intra-abdominal infections caused by Helicobacter pylori, Staphylococci and Streptococci.

• Gynecological infections

  This medicine is used in the treatment of gynecological infections like vulvitis, vaginitis caused by Streptococcus, Gardnerella, and Staphylococcus.

• Bone and Joint infections

  This medicine is used in the treatment of bone and joint infections like Osteomyelitis caused by Staphylococci and Streptococci species.

When not to use?

• Clostridium difficile-associated Diarrhea

  Antibiotic therapy may cause an imbalance in the normal microbial flora in the large intestine which promotes the growth of a bacteria called Clostridium difficile. This may result in severe diarrhea. Report any such incidence to the doctor immediately and discontinue therapy under your doctor's supervision.

• Drug-resistance

  Usage of {CLINDA V Vag Cream 40g }} without sufficient proof or suspicion of a bacterial infection should be avoided. Irrational dosing might fail in providing the benefits and even cause toxicity. It may also increase the risk of development of bacteria that is drug resistant.

• Skin reactions

  This medicine is known to cause few severe skin reactions like toxic epidermal necrolysis, drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS), and Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS), some with fatal outcome. Discontinue the medicine if these symptoms appear.

• Gasping

  Use of This medicine containing benzyl alcohol may cause the gasping syndrome in the newborns.

• Impaired liver function

  Use with caution in the patients with the moderate to severe liver injury. Dosing frequency should be modified based on the severity of the liver injury. Frequent monitoring of liver function tests is necessary.

• Impaired kidney function

  Use with caution in the patients with the moderate to severe liver injury. Dosing frequency should be modified based on the severity of the kidney injury. Frequent monitoring of kidney function tests is necessary.
