Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to Depo Provera Injection 150 mg 1 Vial or any other ingredient present along with it.

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known breast cancer or suspected breast cancer. Patients with a family history of breast cancer should be monitored closely during treatment with this medicine.

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known history of liver disease.

Undiagnosed vaginal bleeding
This medicine is not recommended for use if you have an abnormal bleeding episode which has not been diagnosed by a doctor. Report any menstrual irregularities to the doctor immediately.

Bone mineral density
Use of this medicine may induce bone loss and may increase the risk of fractures. This risk is especially higher in patients with a known history of osteoporosis.

How to use Depo Provera Injection 150 mg 1 Vial
Administer IM only. Shake container vigorously for at least 1 min before giving injection. Inject slowly, over 5-7 sec, into deltoid muscle. Do not inject into gluteal muscle. Pat site lightly after injection. Do not rub it.
Stability: Store at 20°C-25°C (68°F-77°F).

Transient infertility on continuous treatment, irregular, prolonged or heavy vaginal bleeding during first 2 or 3 cycles. Back pain, weight gain, fluid retention.
What happens if I miss a dose of Depo Provera Injection 150 mg 1 Vial?
Endometriosis: Adults: 50 mg IM each wk or 100 mg IM every 2 wk for 6 mth or longer. Children: Not applicable.
Contraception: Adults: 150 mg by deep IM inj during first 5 days of cycle or in first 5 wk post partum. Repeat at 3 mth intervals. Children: Not applicable.
