How it works
Duphaston tablet 10 mg 2×10’s is an orally active progestogen which acts directly on the uterus, producing a complete secretory endometrium in an estrogen-primed uterus. At therapeutic levels, It has no contraceptive effect as it does not inhibit or interfere with ovulation or the corpus luteum.

This medicine is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women.

Driving or Operating machinery
Use of this medicine may cause dizziness or drowsiness in some patients. It is advised that you do not perform any activities such as driving a vehicle or operating machinery if you experience dizziness or drowsiness during treatment with this medicine.

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients below 18 years of age since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.

Abnormal vaginal bleeding
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with an undiagnosed abnormal vaginal bleeding. Appropriate tests should be performed to rule out cancer in all cases of abnormal and persistent vaginal bleeding before treatment with Duphaston tablet 10 mg 2×10’s is initiated.

Liver diseases
This medicine should be used with caution in patients with a history of liver diseases due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition. Close monitoring of liver function, appropriate dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition.

Missed Dose
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed one.

what are the adverse effects of Duphaston tablet 10 mg 2×10’s?
Menstrual disturbances, premenstrual-like syndrome (including bloating, fluid retention, breast tenderness), weight change, nausea, headache, dizziness, insomnia, drowsiness, depression, change in libido; also skin reactions (including urticaria, pruritus, rash and acne), hirsutism and alopecia. Jaundice and anaphylactoid reactions have also been reported.
What happens if I miss a dose of Duphaston tablet 10 mg 2×10’s?
Adults: Dysmenorrhoea, 1 tab twice daily from day 5 to day 25 of the cycle. Endometriosis, 1 tab two or three times daily from day 5 to day 25 of the cycle or continuously. Premenstrual syndrome, 1 tab twice daily from day 12 to day 26 of the cycle. Hormone replacement, 2 tab daily for 12 days each mth. Children: Not applicable.
