Dizziness, nausea, headache, fatigue, rash including erythema multiforme & Stevens-Johnson Syndrome, allergic reaction, abnormal coordination, ataxia, confusion, stupor, vertigo, vomiting, diarrhoea, hepatitis, impaired concentration, insomnia, anxiety, abnormal thinking, agitation, amnesia, delirium, emotional liability, euphoria, hallucination & psychosis. Raised liver enzymes and serum amylase, hepatic failure, lipodystrophy, metabolic abnormalities.
What happens if I miss a dose of Efavir tablet 600 mg 30’s?
Adults: In combination with protease inhibitor &/or nucleoside analogue reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTls): 600 mg once daily. Adolescent & Children: lt; 17 yr: Combination therapy with protease inhibitor &/or NRTls: gt;40 kg: 600 mg once daily; 32.5 – lt;40 kg: 400 mg once daily; 25 – lt;32.5 kg: 350 mg once daily, 20 – lt;25 kg: 300 mg once daily; 15 – lt;20 kg: 250 mg once daily; 13 – lt;15 kg: 200 mg once daily. Children lt;3 yr or lt;13 kg: No studies. Children lt;40 kg: Tab formulation unsuitable.
