General Instructions

Take Eromet Forte tablet 400 mg 10’s once a day with meals and at bedtime or as prescribed by the doctor. It can be taken 30 minutes before food to prevent symptoms of heartburn. Do not take in larger amounts than prescribed. Take this medicine at the same time every day.

How to use Eromet Forte tablet 400 mg 10’s

IV: May be administered as a slow IV push or preferably as an IV intermittent or IV continuous infusion. Administer each 300 mg (or fraction thereof) over a minimum of 5 min when giving IV push. Give intermittent infusion over 15-30 min for each 300 mg dose. Intermittent infusions are administered over 15-30 min at a final concentration not to exceed 6 mg/ mL; for patients with an active bleed, preferred method of administration is continuous infusion.
Compatibility: Stable in D5LR, D5 ¼ NS, D5 ½ NS, D5W, LR, sodium bicarbonate 5%.
Y-site administration:
Drug to Drug IV Compatibility: Acyclovir, aztreonam, cisatracurium, dexamethasone, digoxin, diltiazem, diphenhydramine, dobutamine, enalapril, epinephrine, esmolol, fentanyl, fluconazole, furosemide, heparin, hydromorphone, labetalol, levofloxacin, linezolid, lorazepam, meropenem, methylprednisolone, metoprolol, metronidazole, midazolam, milrinone, morphine, nitroprusside, ondansetron, piperacillin/tazobactam, propofol, vancomycin, vecuronium.
Drug to Drug IV Incompatibility: Allopurinol, amikacin, amphotericin B cholesteryl sulphate complex, amsacrine, cefepime, indomethacin, warfarin.
In syringe: Incompatible with atropine/pentobarbital, cefamandole, cephazolin, chlorpromazine, ioxaglate meglumine and ioxaglate sodium, pentobarbital, secobarbital.
When admixed: Incompatible with amphotericin B, barbiturates.
Stability: Intact vials should be stored at room temperature & protected from light. Stability at room temperature for prepared bags is 7 days. Stable in parenteral nutrition solutions for up to 7 days when protected from light.

Diarrhoea, dizziness, rash, tiredness. Gynaecomastia, occasional reversible liver damage, confusion. Very rarely interstitial nephritis, acute pancreatitis, thrombocytopenia, leucopenia, pancytopenia, aplastic anaemia, fever, headache, myalgia, arthralgia, sinus bradycardia, tachycardia, heart block, anaphylaxis, hallucinations, depression, reversible impotance.

What happens if I miss a dose of Eromet Forte tablet 400 mg 10’s?

TABLET: Adults: Active duodenal ulcer: Single dose of 800 mg at bed time or 400 mg at breakfast and 400 mg at bed time, or 200 mg three times a day with meals and 400 mg at bedtime.
Reflux oesophagitis: 400 mg four times a day with meals and at bedtime for upto 12 wk is indicated.
Zollinger-Ellison syndrome and other cases of high gastric secretion: 200 mg 3 times a day with meals and 400 mg at bedtime.
Acid related dyspepsia: 200 mg 4 times a day (with meals and at bed time).
In haemorrhage from ulceration or erosion of upper Gl tract, stress ulcers: 200 mg three times daily with meals and 400 mg at bedtime.
In non- ulcer acid related conditions: 200 mg 4 times a day (with meals and at bed time).
Children: Over 1 yr, 25-30 mg/kg daily in divided doses.
INJECTION: Adults: IM 200 mg may be repeated at 4-8 hourly intervals. IV: Intermittent infusion: 400 mg diluted in 100 mL dextrose 5% injection, infusion time not less than 30 min. Total dosage in 24 hr should not exceed 6 infusions or 2400 mg. IV: 200 mg diluted in 0.9% NaCl total volume of 20 mL to be given slowly over a period of 2 min, to be repeated 4-6 hourly. Children: IM or IV: 20-40 mg/kg/day in divided doses every 6 hr.
SUSPENSION: Adults: 10 mL twice daily after breakfast and at bed time.
Children: Under 1 yr, not recommended; over 1 yr, 25-30 mg/kg daily in divided doses.
