How to use Esmeron Injection 50 mg 10 Ampx5 mL

Administer IV only, may be given undiluted as a bolus injection or via a continuous infusion using an infusion pump.
Compatibility: Stable in 0.9% NaCl and D5W, this mixture should be used in 24 hours of preparation.
Stability: Store under refrigeration (2°C-8°C) Do not freeze, when stored at room temperature it is stable for 30 days.

What happens if I miss a dose of Esmeron Injection 50 mg 10 Ampx5 mL?

Adults: Intubation: By IV injection, initially 600 mcg/kg, maintenance by IV inj, 150 mcg/kg (Elderly: 75-100 mcg/kg) or maintenance by IV infusion, 300-600 mcg/kg/hr (Elderly: up to 400 mcg/kg/hr) adjusted according to response.
Intensive care: By IV inj, initially 600 mcg/kg (optional), maintenance by IV infusion, 300-400 mcg/kg/hr for first hr, then adjusted according to response.
Children: Not licensed for use in children for assisted ventilation in intensive care. To avoid excessive dosage in obese children, dose should be calculated on the basis of ideal weight
Neuromuscular blockade (intermediate duration) during surgery: Neonate, initially by IV injection 600 mcg/kg, then either by IV injection, 150 mcg/kg repeated as required or by IV infusion, 300-600 mcg/kg/hr adjusted according to response; 1 mth-18 yr, initially by IV injection 600 mcg/kg, then either by IV injection, 150 mcg/kg repeated as required or by IV infusion, 300-600 mcg/kg/hr adjusted according to response.
Assisted ventilation in intensive care: 1 mth-18 yr, initially by IV injection 600 mcg/kg (optional), then by IV infusion, 300-600 mcg/kg/hr for first hr, then adjusted according to response.
