Febuxostat Tablets (Ebuxo)
How it Works
Febuxostat, marketed under the brand name Ebuxo, is a medication used to treat gout and hyperuricemia (elevated levels of uric acid in the blood). Febuxostat works by inhibiting xanthine oxidase, an enzyme involved in the production of uric acid. By blocking this enzyme, febuxostat reduces the levels of uric acid in the blood, preventing the formation of uric acid crystals that can cause gout attacks and damage to joints.
