How it works
Flustal suspension 250 mg 60 mL works by binding to specific penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) located inside the bacterial cell wall, flucloxacillin inhibits the third and last stage of bacterial cell wall synthesis. Cell lysis is then mediated by bacterial cell wall autolytic enzymes such as autolysins

Administer via slow IV/IM inj.
what are the adverse effects of Flustal suspension 250 mg 60 mL?
Hypersensitivity reaction, GI upset. Rarely hepatitis, cholestatic jaundice, haematological and CNS effects, pseudomembranous colitis, increased INR. Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis.
What happens if I miss a dose of Flustal suspension 250 mg 60 mL?
ORAL: Adults: 500 mg (Amoxicillin 250 mg & flucloxacillin 250 mg) every 6 hr, dose doubled in severe infections. Children: Above 10 yr, adult dose. Under 10 yr, half adult dose, the dose doubled in severe cases.
INJECTION: Adults: 500 mg (Amoxicillin 250 mg & flucloxacillin 250 mg) every 6 hr, dose doubled in severe infections. Children: 2-10 yr, half adult dose, the dose doubled in severe cases.
