  • Sedation

    This medicine may cause sedation generally in the 1st month of the treatment. Patients should avoid operating heavy machinery or driving vehicle. Inform the doctor if the symptoms persist.

  • Skin reactions

    This medicine may cause severe skin reactions like stevens-johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis especially first 8 weeks of the treatment. Inform the doctor if any symptoms appear and discontinue the treatment as early as possible.

  • Dependency

    This medicine have the tendency to cause dependency and abuse particularly after prolonged use or excessive dosages. Individuals with a history of alcohol or substance abuse should be treated carefully when they are on Frisium tablet 10 mg 100’s . The withdrawal of this medicine should be tapered off gradually.

  • Suicidal thoughts

    Use of benzodiazepines in depression conditions may increase the risk of suicide. Therefore this medicine should be used with caution and prescription size should be limited in patients with depression or suicidal tendencies.

  • Withdrawal symptoms

    This medicine should not be stopped immediately without informing the doctor due to the risk of withdrawal symptoms like convulsions, behavioral disorder, tremor, and anxiety. Gradual dose reduction should be made based on the outcomes in the patient.

  • Myasthenis gravis

    This medicine should be used with caution in the patients with myasthenia gravis due to the increase in the risk of muscle weakness.

  • Impaired liver function

    This medicine should be used with caution in the patients with mild to moderate liver injury. Lowest possible doses should be initiated and increase the dose based on the patient's response. This medicine is not recommended in the patients with severe liver injury.

  • Missed Dose

    If you miss a dose of Frisium tablet 10 mg 100’s , take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed dose.

Occasionally tiredness, dryness of mouth, constipation, reduction of appetite, nausea, dizziness, fine tremor of the fingers.

What happens if I miss a dose of Frisium tablet 10 mg 100’s?

Anxiety, Adults: 20-30 mg per day.
Epilepsy, Adults: 5-15 mg per day initially, to be increased to 80 mg per day as max.
Children: Not recommended for children under 6 yr; not recommended as monotherapy.
Adjunctive therapy for epilepsy, monotherapy for catamenial (menstruation) seizures (usually for 7-10 days each mth, just before and during menstruation), cluster seizures: 1 mth-6 yr, initially 125 mcg/kg twice daily, increased if necessary every 5 days to usual maintenance dose of 250 mcg/kg twice daily; max. 500 mcg/kg twice daily, not exceeding 15 mg twice daily; 6-18 yr, initially 5 mg daily, increased if necessary every 5 days to usual maintenance dose of 0.3-1 mg/kg daily, max 60 mg daily, daily doses of up to 30 mg may be given as a single dose at bedtime, higher doses should be divided.
