    Fynklocin tablet 400 mg 14’s is used in the treatment of urinary tract infections like Cystitis caused by E.coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterococci and Klebsiella pneumoniae.

General Warnings
  • Tendinitis and tendon rupture

    Use of Fynklocin tablet 400 mg 14’s will increase the risk to develop tendinitis or tendon rupture during the treatment or several months after treatment. It will affect the shoulder, hand, back of the ankle, or other parts of the body. The risk is more if you are above 60 years of age and have a history of kidney, heart, or lung transplant or any joint disease. You are also at high risk if you are on corticosteroids like dexamethasone, methylprednisolone or prednisone.

  • Drug-resistance

    Usage of Fynklocin tablet 400 mg 14’s without sufficient proof or suspicion of a bacterial infection should be avoided. Irrational dosing might fail in providing the benefits and even cause toxicity. It may also increase the risk of development of bacteria that is drug resistant.

  • Pediatric use

    The safety and effectiveness of Fynklocin tablet 400 mg 14’s have not been established in children and adolescents less than 18 years of age.

  • Impaired liver function

what are the adverse effects of Fynklocin tablet 400 mg 14’s?

Nausea, headache, dizziness, rash, heartburn, abdominal cramps, diarrhoea. Anorexia, sleep disturbances, anxiety, irritability, convulsions, hypersensitivity reactions, confusion, paraesthesia, haemolytic anaemia, pancreatitis, hepatitis. Photosensitivity; avoid excessive sunlight.

What happens if I miss a dose of Fynklocin tablet 400 mg 14’s?

Urinary Tract Infection: Adults: gt;18 yr: Uncomplicated, 400 mg every 12 hr for 3 days (K. pneumoniae, E. coli or P. mirabilis), or for 7-10 days (other organisms). Complicated UTI, 400 mg every 12 hr for 10-21 days.
Acute/Chronic Prostatitis: Adults: gt;18 yr: 400 mg every 12 hr for 28 days.
Children: Not recommended.
