GETZACIN Tablet 0 stops the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA-gyrase. This helps to kill or prevent the growth of bacteria in the body.

What is it prescribed for?

• Urinary Tract Infection

  An infection in any part of your urinary system- the kidneys, bladder, ureters, or urethra is called urinary tract infections (UTIs). UTIs are the most common infections in humans and woman are at greater risk of getting this infection. UTIs are caused by bacteria and in some cases, viruses or fungi. GETZACIN Tablet 0 is used to treat urinary tract infections caused by bacteria.

• Pyelonephriits

  Pyelonephritis is the swelling of the kidneys due to bacterial infection. This infection starts in your urethra or bladder and spreads through the ureters to the kidneys. GETZACIN Tablet 0 is used to treat pyelonephritis. You will start feeling better within a few days after taking GETZACIN Tablet 0 .

• Urethritis

  Urethritis is the swelling of the urethra, a small tube that carries urine from the bladder to the outside of the body. GETZACIN Tablet 0 is used to treat urethritis caused by bacteria.

• Cystitis

  Cystitis is the swelling of the urinary bladder usually caused by a bacterial infection. This is more common in women because their urethra is much shorter, which means bacteria can go into the bladder more easily. GETZACIN Tablet 0 is used to treat cystitis caused by bacteria.

• Community-Acquired Pneumonia

  Community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) refers to pneumonia (lung infection) that is acquired outside the hospital. CAP can be bacterial or viral. GETZACIN Tablet 0 is used to treat CAP caused by bacteria like Mycoplasma pneumonia, Streptococcus pneumonia, Haemophilus influenzae, etc.

• Bronchitis

  Bronchitis is the swelling and irritation of bronchial tubes that regulates air passage in the lungs. GETZACIN Tablet 0 is used to treat bronchitis caused by bacteria.

• Prostatitis

  Prostatitis is the swelling of the prostate gland located under the bladder in men. This gland produces the fluid semen, that carries sperm. It affects men of all ages and more common in men 50 or below. GETZACIN Tablet 0 is used to treat prostatitis caused by a bacterial infection.

• Skin and soft tissue infections

  Skin and soft tissue infections occur when the bacteria invade the skin and its supporting structures. GETZACIN Tablet 0 is used to treat all skin infections including abscess caused by bacteria.

• Gonococcal infection

  Gonorrhoea is a sexually transmitted infection (STI) caused by Neisseria gonorrhoea bacteria that infects both men and women. It spreads during vaginal, oral or anal sex without a condom or other barrier method. GETZACIN Tablet 0 is used to treat the gonococcal infection.

• Pelvic Inflammatory Disease

  Pelvic inflammatory disease is an infection of the female reproductive organs caused by bacteria like Chlamydia trachomatis, Neisseria gonorrhoea, etc. In this infection, the bacteria first enter the vagina and move into the pelvic organs- fallopian tubes, ovaries, cervix, and the uterus, causing infection. GETZACIN Tablet 0 is used to treat pelvic inflammatory disease.

• Bacterial conjunctivitis

  Bacterial conjunctivitis or pink eye is a bacterial eye infection affecting the conjunctiva (a clear tissue covering the white part of your eye and lines the inside of the eyelid). It is more common in children and can be treated quickly. GETZACIN Tablet 0 are used to treat bacterial conjunctivitis.

• Otitis Externa

  Otitis externa or Swimmer’s ear is an infection in the ear canal, which connects the outside of the ear to the eardrum. This outer ear infection can occur due to many reasons. The water remaining in the ear after swimming or bathing can increase the chances of bacterial growth. Normally, earwax helps to protect the ear canal from infection. Putting fingers, cotton swabs or other objects to clean your ears, can rub away the earwax or scratch your skin. This allows germs to grow and leads to infection. GETZACIN Tablet 0 are used for the treatment of otitis externa caused by bacteria. You will start to feel better in 5 to 7 days after using GETZACIN Tablet 0 .

  Use This medicine with caution in patients with nerve problems, seizures, depression, and psychotic reactions. GETZACIN Tablet 0 can trigger these conditions and inform your doctor immediately if these reactions occur.

  Use This medicine with extreme caution in patients with gastrointestinal (mouth to anus) diseases, particularly colitis (swelling of the inner lining of the colon), since it may worsen the patient's condition.

  This medicine may cause heart rhythm problem called prolonged QT intervals (an electrical heartbeat disturbance) in some patients who are taking heart medications. It may result in fast, rapid, and irregular heartbeats.

  Patients with kidney diseases need special consideration while taking This medicine due to the risk of kidney damage. Dose adjustment should be done based on the clinical condition.
