GLANDIN-E2 1mg Gel 3g is a natural substance (prostaglandin) that your body makes in preparation for labor. It softens and widens the opening of the womb and increases contractions.

This medicine is used for relaxing and softening the cervix and induce uterine contractions for the induction of labor.

This medicine is used for the termination of pregnancy by inducing uterine contractions and expelling the fetus out.
When not to use?

Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to GLANDIN-E2 1mg Gel 3g or any other inactive ingredients present in the formulation.

Cesarean section
This medicine is not recommended for patients who have a history of cesarean section due to the increased risk of adverse effects.

Grand multiparae
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a history of 6 or more term pregnancies due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition.

Acute Pelvic Inflammatory Disease
This suppository form of this medicine is not recommended for use in patients with acute pelvic inflammatory disease due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition.

Use with Caution
This medicine should be used with caution in patients with epilepsy, glaucoma, hepatic/renal impairment, pulmonary disease.

Uterine rupture
This medicine has been associated with cases of uterine rupture when used for labor induction in some cases. Caution is advised while using this medicine if the patient is in the late thirties and beyond or the delivery is cesarean.
