This medicine is used to reduce the swelling in the hands, feet, and ankles associated with cirrhosis of the liver and renal disease.

This medicine is used in the treatment of high blood pressure which may be caused by fluid overload due to genetic or environmental factors.

Congestive Heart Failure
This medicine helps patients with congestive heart failure by relieving their symptoms and improving their condition.
When not to use?

Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to H-CORTISONE 100mg Injection Vial or other sulfonamide-derived medicines.

Anuria
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a condition called anuria (a condition where the kidney is unable to produce urine).

Hepatic dysfunction
This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patient's suffering from liver diseases due to an increase in the risk of serious adverse effects including coma. Close monitoring of liver function is advised while taking this medicine. Report any symptoms of confusion or jaundice to the doctor on priority.

Volume and electrolyte depletion
This medicine may alter the blood volume levels and electrolyte levels. This may cause dizziness, dry mouth, and acid-base imbalance. Close monitoring of blood pressure and electrolyte levels is necessary while taking this medicine. Report any symptoms such as weakness, lethargy, muscle pain, drowsiness, dizziness, irregular heartbeat, etc. to the doctor immediately.

This medicine may cause Azotemia in patients with a known history of a severe renal disease. Close monitoring of kidney function is necessary while taking this medicine. Appropriate dose adjustments should be done based on the renal function.
