Imfinzi 120mg/2.4mlDurvalumab injection

Belongs to Category

How it Works

Imfinzi (durvalumab) is a monoclonal antibody used in cancer immunotherapy. It targets and binds to the programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) protein found on the surface of cancer cells and some immune cells. PD-L1 interacts with the programmed death-1 (PD-1) receptor on T-cells (a type of immune cell), leading to the inhibition of the T-cells’ ability to attack cancer cells. By blocking the PD-L1/PD-1 interaction, durvalumab reactivates T-cells, enabling them to recognize and destroy cancer cells. This mechanism of action helps enhance the body’s immune response against tumors, particularly in certain types of cancers.
