Kesimpta 20 mg solution for injection in pre-filled pen
How It Works
Kesimpta (generic name ofatumumab) is a human monoclonal antibody that targets a protein called CD20, which is found on the surface of B-lymphocytes. By binding to CD20, Kesimpta selectively depletes B-lymphocytes from the bloodstream. B-lymphocytes play a role in the immune response, including the production of antibodies. In certain autoimmune diseases like multiple sclerosis, B-lymphocytes are thought to contribute to the inflammatory process that damages nerve cells. By depleting B-lymphocytes, Kesimpta helps to reduce inflammation and slow down the progression of multiple sclerosis.
