How it works
Kinz Injection 20 mg/mL 5 Amp interact with an opiate receptor site in the CNS (probably in or associated with the limbic system). The opiate antagonistic effect may result from competitive inhibition at the opiate receptor

How to use Kinz Injection 20 mg/mL 5 Amp
Administered by SC, IM, or IV injection. For direct IV injection through an IV line with a compatible infusing solution, give drug slowly not more than 10 mg over 3 to 5 mins.
Compatibility: Dextrose 5% in NaCl 0.9%, Dextrose 5%, 0.9% NaCl, LR. Incompatible with diazepam or pentobarbital. Use separate IV line or flush line well before and after administration.
Stability: Stable for 48 hours when diluted in 1:1 and 1:2 ratios with diluents.
UNLICENSED USE
Children: Initially, up to 0.3 mg/kg by IV, IM or SC inj. Dose may be repeated once or twice if necessary.

What happens if I miss a dose of Kinz Injection 20 mg/mL 5 Amp?
Pain: Adults: 10-20 mg by IV, IM or SC inj. Myocardial infarction: Adults: 10-30 mg by slow IV inj. A repeat dose of 20 mg may be given within 30 min, if necessary. Children: Not recommended.
