How to use Konduct tablet 50 mg 20’s

Administer IV at 1 mg/min. IV administration requires cardiac and blood pressure monitoring.
Compatibility: Stable in NS, D5W.
Stability: Protect from light.

UNLICENSED USE
Children: Under 12 yr, not recommended. ORAL: Hypertension: Neonate, 0.5-2 mg/kg once daily; may be given in 2 divided doses; 1 mth-12 yr, 0.5-2 mg/kg once daily (doses higher than 50 mg daily rarely necessary), may be given in 2 divided doses.
Arrhythmias: Neonate, 0.5-2 mg/kg once daily; may be given in 2 divided doses; 1 mth-12 yr, 0.5-2 mg/kg once daily (max 100 mg daily); may be given in 2 divided doses.

what are the adverse effects of Konduct tablet 50 mg 20’s

Cardiovascular effects including bradycardia, postural hypotension. Rarely, heart failure, increased AV block, cardiac arrhythmias. Raynaud’s phenomenon cold extremities, sexual dysfunction. GI, sleep and CNS disturbances. Dyspnoea rarely, bronchospasm. Skin reactions, withdraw if unexplained dry eyes or rash. Fatigue, paraesthesia, peripheral neuropathy, arthralgia, myopathy, altered blood sugar, haematology and lipid levels.

What is the dose of Konduct tablet 50 mg 20’s

Adults: ORAL: Hypertension/Arrhythmias/Early intervention in acute MI: 50 or 100 mg once daily.
Angina: Usually 100 mg once daily or 50 mg twice daily.
Adults: INJECTION: Arrhythmias: IV injection: 2.5 mg at a rate of 1 mg/min, repeated at 5-min intervals to a max 10 mg. Excessive bradycardia can be countered with IV injection of atropine sulphate 0.6-2.4 mg in divided doses of 600 mcg. IV Infusion: 150 mcg/kg over 20 min, repeated every 12 hr if necessary.
Early intervention within 12 hr of myocardial infarction: By IV injection: 5 mg over 5 min, then orally 50 mg after 15 min, 50 mg after 12 hr, then 100 mg daily.
Children: Under 12 yr, not recommended. ORAL: Hypertension: 12-18 yr, 25-50 mg once daily (higher doses rarely necessary); may be given in 2 divided doses.
Arrhythmias: 12-18 yr, 50-100 mg once daily; may be given in 2 divided doses.
