LABETALOL 50mg Injection Vialx10 ml works by reducing the blood pressure by relaxing the blood vessels and also by slowing the heart rate.

What is it prescribed for?

Hypertension
This medicine is used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive agents for the treatment of high blood pressure which may be caused by genetic or environmental factors.
When not to use?

Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to LABETALOL 50mg Injection Vialx10 ml , other beta-blockers, or any other inactive ingredients present in the formulation.

Lung diseases
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients suffering from lung diseases like asthma, bronchospasm, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Heart block greater than first degree
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with second or third-degree heart block due to the risk of worsening of the patient's condition.

Severe bradycardia
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with severe bradycardia (slow heart rate than normal) due to the increased risk of worsening the patient's condition.

Cardiogenic shock
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with cardiogenic shock due to the increased risk of worsening the patient's condition.

Uncompensated congestive heart failure
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients who have uncompensated congestive heart failure due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition.

Major surgery
This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients who are scheduled for major surgery. An anesthetic agent with little negative inotropic activity should be selected to minimize the effect on the heart.

Hypotension
This medicine may cause extremely low blood pressure with or without syncope in some patients. Close monitoring of blood pressure levels, appropriate dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition.

Sports
It is advised to not indulge in certain sports while consuming this medicine. Archery, racing, shooting, and other high-risk sports should be avoided. Sportspersons should refer to the list of banned medicines published by the World Anti-Doping Agency while participating in specific sports events.

Hyperthyroidism
This medicine should be administered with caution in patients suffering from hyperthyroidism since it may mask some of the patient's symptoms. Report any unusual symptoms to the doctor immediately.
