Lartruvo (olaratumab) injection, 500 mg/50 ml

Lartruvo, with the active ingredient olaratumab, is a monoclonal antibody designed to interfere with the growth and spread of cancer cells. How It Works

Lartruvo targets a protein called platelet-derived growth factor receptor alpha (PDGFR-α), which is found on the surface of some cancer cells. By binding to PDGFR-α, Lartruvo blocks its interaction with platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), preventing the receptor from sending growth signals to the cancer cells. This inhibition can slow down or stop the proliferation of cancer cells and potentially shrink tumors. Lartruvo is often used in combination with doxorubicin, a chemotherapy drug, to enhance its effectiveness in treating soft tissue sarcoma.

Indications

• Pregnancy, as it may harm the fetus
