Bacterial infections
This medicine is used in the treatment of severe infections caused by streptococci, pneumococci, and staphylococci bacteria.
When not to use?

Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to LINKIT 300mg Injection 2mlx1s or Clindamycin.

Clostridium difficile-associated Diarrhea
Antibiotic therapy will cause an imbalance in the normal microbial flora of the large intestine, which may promote the growth of bacteria called Clostridium difficile and you may experience severe diarrhoea as a result. Report any such incidence to the doctor on priority and avoid usage of LINKIT 300mg Injection 2mlx1s in such cases.

Gasping syndrome
Benzyl alcohol which is an ingredient of the LINKIT 300mg Injection 2mlx1s injection has been associated with "Gasping Syndrome" in paediatrics patients, which is characterised by multi-system failure. The risk depends on the quantity administered and the liver function. Premature and low-birth-weight infants are at increased risk of developing the gasping syndrome.

Liver and kidney disease
This medicine should be used with caution in patients with liver and kidney disease. The dose should be reduced to 25% to 30% of the normal dosage in severe kidney disease conditions (CrCl less than 10 mL/min). Close monitoring of kidney and liver function is necessary while receiving this medicine.

The missed dose can be taken as soon as you remember. However, the missed dose should be skipped if it is almost the time for your next dose.

Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose.
General Instructions
Take this medicine as instructed by the doctor. Do not take larger quantities than prescribed. It should be used only in severe infectious conditions. Discontinue the medicine if persistent diarrhoea occurs. Close monitoring of liver and kidney function is necessary while receiving the medicine.
