Administer over 20-30 min at a conc of 0.5-1 mg/mL in SWFI or NS. Do not administer intra-arterially. Reconstitute IV formulation just prior to formulation.
Compatibility: Stable in NS. Indomethacin sodium trihydrate IV is not buffered and reconstitution with solutions at pH values lt;6 may result in precipitation of the insoluble indomethacin free acid moiety.
Stability: Store below 30°C (86°F). Protect from light. Store container in carton until contents have been used.

Monitor carefully to ensure adequate urine output.

INJECTION: Adults: Starting dose 1 amp, every 12 hr, later on 1 amp, either daily or every other day in chronic cases. The IM inj, should be performed slowly and deeply into the superior external quadrant and under strict asepsis. By direct IV route by dissolving 1 to 2 amp, in 5-10 mL saline solution, very slowly in 3-5 min with the patient lying on a bed. By drip intravenous perfusion 1-2 amp, in 250-500 mL saline or glucose solution at a rate 25-35 drops/min. Do not mix with other products in the same amp. In case of localised conditions, such as osteoarthritis, sport injuries etc., can also be injected intra-articularly by dissolving 1 amp in 2 mL of 2% procaine or mepivacaine solution, then infiltrating into articular cavity or into the tendon after aspiration of any liquid possibly present.
