Lixiana (edoxaban) is an oral anticoagulant medication used to reduce the risk of stroke and systemic embolism in patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation, as well as to treat and prevent deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE). Each tablet contains 30 mg of edoxaban, providing a convenient and effective treatment for blood clot prevention.

How It Works

Edoxaban is a direct factor Xa inhibitor. Factor Xa is an enzyme in the blood coagulation pathway that plays a crucial role in the formation of blood clots. By inhibiting factor Xa, edoxaban reduces the ability of blood to clot, thereby preventing the formation of harmful clots that can lead to stroke, DVT, and PE.
