Peripheral Arterial Disease

When not to use?

Allergy
Not recommended in patients with known allergy to Lowplat tablet 75 mg 10’s .

Bleeding disorder
Not recommended in patients with any bleeding disorder like the peptic ulcer or bleeding in the brain.

This medicine may increase the risk of bleeding, therefore should be used with caution in patients with the bleeding disorder. Inform the doctor if you have any gastrointestinal diseases or an injury. Close monitoring of platelets count is necessary.

Discontinuation of Lowplat tablet 75 mg 10’s
Sudden stoppage of this medicine may increase the risk of heart diseases. If treatment is interrupted in conditions like surgery or bleeding, it should be restarted as soon as possible.

Bleeding episodes, GI upset, haematoma, skin reactions. Nervous system, hepatic, biliary or haematological disorders. Rarely, thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura. Stevens-Johnson syndrome.
What happens if I miss a dose of Lowplat tablet 75 mg 10’s?
Adults: 75 mg daily with or without food.
Non-ST segment elevation acute coronary syndrome: Adults: 300 mg loading dose followed by 75 mg daily given in combination with 75-100 mg aspirin daily.
Children: Not recommended.
