MANNITOL 100g Infusion 1000ml is a polyol (sugar alcohol) with a low molecular weight that is filtered at the glomerulus but not reabsorbed from the renal tubule. It exerts osmotic activity within the proximal convoluted tubule and the descending limb of the loop of Henle, which limits passive tubular reabsorption of water.
