How it works
Maxfyl syrup 100 mg/5 mL 60 mL arise from the inhibition of phosphodiesterase activity thus increasing the levels of camp and promoting smooth muscle relaxation.

This medicine is used for the prevention and treatment of symptoms associated with chronic asthma and other obstructive diseases of the lungs. It is primarily used as a maintenance therapy.

Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use if you have a known history of allergy to Maxfyl syrup 100 mg/5 mL 60 mL or any other medicine belonging to the Xanthine derivative group.

Acute myocardial infarction
This medicine is not recommended for use if you have suffered from a heart attack in recent times.

Kidney/Liver impairment
This medicine should be used with caution in patients having an impairment of normal liver/kidney function. Suitable dose adjustments and safety monitoring is recommended in such cases.

Caffeine
Consumption of caffeine while taking this medicine may cause certain side effects to appear. Avoid or limit the uptake of caffeine or caffeine products while taking this medicine.

What happens if I miss a dose of Maxfyl syrup 100 mg/5 mL 60 mL?
Adults: 400 mg 2-3 times daily. Children: 6-12 yr, 1 tsp 2-3 times daily. Under 6 yr, not recommended.
