Cerebral, pulmonary and peripheral oedema and dilution acidosis may occur with a large volume and/or acute infusion.
What happens if I miss a dose of Medisol N/3 Infusion 1000 mL?
Adults: Usually 500-1000 mL at one time by intravenous drip infusion. The infusion rate should be 300-500 mL per hr (about 75-125 drops per min). Children: 50-1000 mL per hr (about 12-25 drops per min).
