What is it prescribed for?

Muscle spasm
This medicine is used to relieve muscle spasm (a condition where the muscles are contracted continuously) associated with acute, painful, musculoskeletal conditions.
When not to use?

Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to NEXTFLEX 5mg Tablet 10s or any other inactive ingredients present along with the formulation.

Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAO)
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI) due to the increased risk of serious and life-threatening adverse effects. Your doctor may suggest maintaining a time gap of at least 14 days to start therapy with this medicine after discontinuing MAO inhibitors.

Hyperthyroidism
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with hyperthyroidism (a condition where the thyroid gland produces too much thyroid hormones) due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition.

Driving or operating machinery
This medicine may cause dizziness or drowsiness in some patients. It is advised that you do not perform any activities that require high mental alertness like driving a vehicle or operating machinery if you experience any of these symptoms.

Glaucoma
This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients with a history of glaucoma, or increased intraocular pressure due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition of the patient.

Urinary retention
This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients with urinary retention due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition of the patient.

Use in elderly population
This medicine should be used with extreme caution in elderly patients due to the high risk of severe adverse effects. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition of the patient.

Use in children
The safety and efficacy of this medicine have not been clinically established in children under the age of 15 years.

Serotonin syndrome
This medicine may cause a rare serious condition called Serotonin syndrome when used in combination with other medicines (eg, SSRIs, TCAs, or MAO inhibitors). Appropriate corrective measures, dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition of the patient.

Liver impairment
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with moderate to severe liver impairment.

Missed Dose
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed dose.

Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose.

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, heart block, and/or conduction disturbances due to the risk of worsening of the patient's condition. Replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary based on the clinical condition.

Consult the doctor if you experience any undesirable effects. Do not stop taking the medicine before completion of the course/without consulting your doctor.
