what are the adverse effects of Nimcept tablet 5 mg 10’s?
GI upset, muscles cramps, fatigue, pain, headache, insomnia, dizziness, syncope, accident, coryza, anorexia, rash, pruritus, urinary incontinence, psychiatric disturbances. Rarely, bradycardia, SA or AV block, seizures, raised creatine kinase, extra-pyramidal symptoms, GI haemorrhage, GI or duodenal ulcers. Liver dysfunction (consider withdrawal).
What happens if I miss a dose of Nimcept tablet 5 mg 10’s?
Adults: Initially 5 mg once daily at bedtime. Increase if necessary to max 10 mg at bedtime after 1 mth. Assess response 2-4 mth after reaching maintenance dose and only continue if positive evidence of benefit. Children: Not recommended.
