Ocuciprox 0.30% Eye Drops 5 ml is used in the treatment of bronchitis which is an inflammation of the lining of the bronchial tubes caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, and some Mycoplasma Pneumonia.

Tendinitis and tendon rupture
Use of Ocuciprox 0.30% Eye Drops 5 ml will increase the risk to develop tendinitis or tendon rupture during the treatment or several months after treatment. It will affect the shoulder, hand, the back of your ankle, or other parts of your body. The risk is more if you are above 60 years of age and have a history of kidney, heart, or lung transplant and joint disease. You are also at high risk if you are on corticosteroids like dexamethasone, methylprednisolone or prednisone.

Drug-resistance
Usage of Ocuciprox 0.30% Eye Drops 5 ml without sufficient proof or suspicion of a bacterial infection should be avoided. Irrational dosing might fail in providing the benefits and even cause toxicity. It may also increase the risk of development of bacteria that is drug resistant.

Eye: Adults & Children: Over 1 yr: 1-2 drops in eye(s) every 2 hr while awake for 2 days then every 4 hr for next 5 days.
Ear: Adults: Otitis externa: Place 4 drops twice daily for 7 days into affected ear(s).
Children: Acute otitis media: Place 4 drops twice daily for 7 days into affected ear.
