  • Glaucoma/Cataracts surgery

    The use of this medicine increases the risk of intraoperative floppy iris syndrome. Patients undergoing cataract and glaucoma surgery should inform the surgeon about the current or previous use of this medicine so that the surgeon can make appropriate changes in the surgical technique to reduce the risk of intraoperative floppy iris syndrome.

  • Women and children

    This medicine is not indicated for use in women and children.

  • Driving or operating machinery

    The use of this medicine may cause symptoms such as blurred vision, dizziness, drowsiness, etc. in some patients. It is advised that you do not perform any activities such as driving a vehicle or operating machinery if you experience any of these symptoms.

  • Priapism

    This medicine may rarely cause a very painful erection which may not subside (priapism). Seek immediate medical attention if this happens. If priapism is not treated, it may lead to impotence.

Children: Dysfunctional voiding: 12-18 yr, 400 mcg once daily.

what are the adverse effects of Optiflo capsule 0.4 mg 10’s?

Drowsiness, dizziness, ejaculation disorders, hypotension (notably postural hypotension), syncope, asthaenia, depression, headache, dry mouth, gastro-intestinal disturbances (including nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation), oedema, blurred vision, rhinitis, erectile disorders (including priapism), tachycardia and palpitations. Hypersensitivity reactions rash, pruritus and angioedema have also been reported. Intraoperative floppy iris syndrome.

Cap: Adults: 0.4 mg daily as a single dose. Children: Not recommended.
