Status Epilepticus
Orazepam tablet 2 mg 100’s is used in the treatment of status epilepticus which is a condition in which seizures present for a long time or a seizure follows immediately after another.

Preanesthetic
Orazepam tablet 2 mg 100’s is used to relieve the symptoms of anxiety and tension in the patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Allergy
Not recommended in the patients with allergy to Orazepam tablet 2 mg 100’s .

Narrow-angle glaucoma
Not recommended in the patients with known case of narrow-angle glaucoma.

Depression
This medicine is not recommended in the patients with known case of depression due to the worsening if symptoms.

Drug dependence
Orazepam tablet 2 mg 100’s have the tendency to cause dependency and abuse particularly after prolonged use or excessive dosages. Individuals with a history of alcohol or substance abuse should be treated carefully when they are on Orazepam tablet 2 mg 100’s . The withdrawal of this medicine should be tapered off gradually.

Use with caution in individuals who are 60 years and above due to the increased risk of sedation and muscle weakness.

Confusions, dizziness, depression, fatigue, muscle weakness, ataxia, asthaenia, GI upset, hypotension, visual disturbances, rash, impaired alertness and dexterity, headache. Rarely blood dyscrasias, raised liver enzymes. Dependence. Paradoxical reactions. Reports of angioedema.
What happens if I miss a dose of Orazepam tablet 2 mg 100’s?
Anxiety/hypnotics: Adults: Initial: 2-3 mg/day given 2-3 doses. Usual: 2-6 mg/day.
Insomnia: Adults: 2-4 mg at bed time.
Elderly: 0.5-2 mg daily.
Children: Not recommended.
