what are the adverse effects of Osteorise tablet 35 mg 4’s?
Abdominal pain, GI upset, musculoskeletal pain, body pain, headache. Transient decrease in serum calcium and phosphate levels.
What happens if I miss a dose of Osteorise tablet 35 mg 4’s?
All tab should be swallowed whole in an upright position, with a glass of plain water, at least 30 min before the first food or drink of the day or at least 2 hr from any food or drink at other times and at least 30 min before going to bed.
Adults: Post menopausal women on systemic corticosteroid therapy: 5 mg tab daily.
Paget’s disease: 30 mg daily for two mth.
Treatment of post-menopausal osteoporosis to reduce risk of vertebral/hip fractures: 5 mg once daily; efficacy for use longer than 1 yr has not been established. Alternatively, a dose of 35 mg once wkly on the same day of each wk has been demonstrated to be effective.
Children: Not recommended.
