Take Oxytetracycline tablet 250 mg 1000’s as instructed by your doctor. Do not take in larger or smaller amounts than advised. Drink adequate amount of water to prevent the irritation in the intestine. Do not take with calcium-containing products because of the decrease in the absorption. Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting the doctor.

How to use Oxytetracycline tablet 250 mg 1000’s
For an adult, give IM inj in upper outer quadrant of buttocks or mid-lateral thigh. Deltoid muscle may be used but only if well developed. In children, give injection only in mid-lateral thigh.

Tooth discolouration, enamel hypoplasia, hepatotoxicity, blood disorders, reduced fibula growth rate; avoid use in children under 8 years, unless no alternative. Gl disturbances. Allergic reactions. Superinfections.
What happens if I miss a dose of Oxytetracycline tablet 250 mg 1000’s?
ORAL: Adults: 250-500 mg every 6 hr. Children: 25- 50 mg/kg every 6 hr.
INJECTION: IM: Adults: 250 mg every 6 hr or 300 mg every 8 hr or every 12 hr. Children: 15-25 mg/kg body-wt up to max 250 mg daily inj. The dosage may be divided at 8 or 12 hourly intervals.
