Hypersensitivity reactions, including rash, urticaria, joint pains, angioedema, anaphylaxis, serum sickness-like reactions. Rarely, haemolytic anaemia, interstitial nephritis, blood dyscrasias, seizures, diarrhoea and antibiotic-associated colitis.

Lower Respiratory Infection: Adults & Children: gt; 12 yr: Pneumococcal: 250-500 mg every 6 hr until afebrile for 2 days.
Skin Infection: Adults & Children: gt;12 yr: 250-500 mg every 6-8 hr.
Upper Respiratory Infection: Adults & Children: gt;12 yr: Streptococcal: 125-500 mg every 6 hr for 10 days.
Fusospirochetosis: (Oropharynx) Adults & Children: gt;12 yr: 250-500 mg every 6-8 hr.
Pneumococcal: Adults & Children: gt;12 yr: 250-500 mg every 6 hr until afebrile for 2 days.
