What is it prescribed for?

Anesthesia
This medicine is used as preoperative or pre-anesthetic medication as well as a supplementation to surgical anesthesia to maintain the level of anesthetic effect.

Moderate to severe pain
This medicine is used to relieve moderate to severe pain when the patient's pain is not adequately controlled by alternative analgesic medicines or the pain is severe enough to require the use of an opioid analgesic.
