How It Works

Phesgo is a fixed-dose combination of pertuzumab and trastuzumab, administered via subcutaneous injection. Pertuzumab and trastuzumab are monoclonal antibodies that target the human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2). By binding to distinct epitopes on the HER2 receptor, these antibodies block HER2 signaling pathways, inhibit tumor cell proliferation, and mediate antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC). This combination is used primarily in the treatment of HER2-positive breast cancer, providing a synergistic effect that enhances anti-tumor activity.
