PRIORIX-TETRA is to be injected subcutaneously (SC), or intramuscularly (IM) in the deltoid region of the upper arm. The vaccine should be administered subcutaneously in subjects with bleeding disorders (e.g. thrombocytopenia or any Coagulation disorder). Alcohol and other disinfecting agents must be allowed to evaporate from the skin before injection of the vaccine since they can inactivate the attenuated viruses in the vaccine.

Primary immunization consists of two doses of PRIORIX-TETRA (combined measles, mumps, rubella and varicella vaccine, live, attenuated) vaccine. An interval of at least 6 wk between doses is preferable and in no circumstances should this interval be less than 4 wk. If official recommendations call for a sec dose of varicella, PRIORIX-TETRA can be used in lieu of separate MMR and varicella vaccines.
