How to use Pyro-6 tablet 50 mg 10×10’s
UNLICENSED USE
Adults: Premenstrual syndrome: 50-100 mg daily.
Children: Metabolic diseases including cystathioninuria and homocystinuria: Orally. Neonate, 50-100 mg 1-2 times daily; 1 mth-18 yr, 50-250 mg 1-2 times daily.
Treatment of isoniazid-induced neuropathy: Orally. Neonate, 5-10 mg daily; 1 mth-12 yr, 10-20mg 2-3 times daily; 12-18 yr, 30-50 mg 2-3 times daily.
Prevention of isoniazid-induced neuropathy: Orally. Neonate, 5 mg daily; 1 mth-12 yr, 5-10 mg daily; 12-18 yr, 10 mg daily.
Prevention of penicillamine-induced neuropathy in Wilson’s disease: Orally. 1-12 yr, 5-10 mg daily; 12-18 yr, 10 mg daily.
Pyridoxine-dependent seizures: Orally or by IV injection. Neonate, Initial test dose 50-100 mg by IV injection, may be repeated; if responsive followed by an oral maintenance dose of 50-100 mg once daily, adjusted as necessary; 1 mth-12 yr, Initial test dose 50-100 mg daily; if responsive followed by an oral dose of 20-50 mg 1-2 times daily, adjusted as necessary; doses up to 30 mg/kg or 1 g daily have been used.

What happens if I miss a dose of Pyro-6 tablet 50 mg 10×10’s?
ORAL: Deficiency states: Adults: 20-50 mg up to 3 times daily for 3 wk.
Isoniazid-induced or penicillamine or hydralazine or cycloserine induced neuropathy: Adults: Prophylaxis, 10 mg daily (or 20 mg daily if suitable product not available); treatment, 50 mg three times daily.
Idiopathic sideroblastic anaemia: Adults: 100-400 mg daily in divided doses.
Children: Not recommended.
INJECTION: Dietary Deficiency states: Adults: IM or IV the dose is 10 to 20 mg daily for 3 wk.
Deficiencies due to Isoniazid: Adults: 100 mg daily for 3 wk followed by a 30 mg maintenance dose daily.
Children: Not recommended.
